Dissolved Air Flotation Unit
The dissolved air flotation unit is made to allow the process in which microscopic air bubbles become attached to solid particles suspended in liquid, causing the solid particles to float. The DAF separator is best used to dissolve air into liquid due to the pressure used, leaving you with microscopic air bubbles.
The bubbles are thoroughly mixed with the wastewater, attaching to the solids in the waste stream. This causes the air-solid aggregates to rise to the liquid surface, forming a blanket of solids (float). Surface skimmers then remove this float blanket.

The Air Release System is engineered to optimise the conversion of air into micro bubbles, achieving over 90% efficiency, with bubble sizes ideally suited for flotation (10 – 100 microns).
Air/Solids/Polymer Mixing Chamber
The swirl-inducing mixing chamber ensures a thorough mixing of air bubbles, solids and polymer, enabling optimal air/solids bond formation.
